The MIL-C-5015 G specification is the workhorse connector of the MIL-Aerospace
industry. Taking the best feature of the old solder 5015 and combining them with
the rear accessories that are common to the MIL-C-26482 Series II and the
MIL-C-83723 Series I and II, the rear release MIL-C-5015 answers the air frame
and ground support industries requirement for a highly reliable rear release
connector.
Features:
- Insert patterns that accommodate “0” to 16 AWG contacts
- Many insert patterns from shell size 8 to 40
- Both signal and power contacts available in a single insert pattern
- Permanent insert retention through mechanical and physical retention
- Plug connectors with internal ratcheting mechanism which prevents uncoupling during
vibration and shock
- Self locking coupling mechanism eliminates the need
for safety wire holes
- Totally environmentally sealed
- Contacts are individually sealed
- Interfacial seal between the contacts utilizing the “cork and bottle”
design to prevent moisture intrusion at high altitude
- An O-Ring or peripheral seal to provide sealing between
the plug and the receptacle
- Triple redundant wire seal in the grommet
- Insert to shell sealed
- Coupling nut is permanently a fixed to the barbell to prevent disassembly
under adverse conditions
- High reliability retention clips to positively retain the contact and prevent damage
to dielectric during insert and withdrawal
